The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner has announced his engagement to Lana Sutton. He shared the news with fans and followers on Instagram on October 3, 2025, posting photos of his fiancée proudly showing off her ring.
The caption of the post states, “We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said “YES”. I Love this woman.” Sutton also shared the news on her Instagram, saying, “I love you, Babe, more than I ever thought possible! We are perfect together!”
The engagement announcement comes 15 months after Turner’s divorce from his ex-wife, Theresa Nist, whom he met on the reality TV show and gave his final rose. The couple divorced a few months after their televised wedding.

Talking about their adventure to People in April 2025, Turned shared that they had traveled nearly every weekend since they started dating. “The first trip was to the Big 10 men’s basketball tournament,” he shared, adding, “Her level of adventure and mine are very similar.”
The couple met after Lana Sutton, a retired educator from Indiana, reached out to Gerry Turner on Facebook. Turner has said he feels comfortable around his new partner and even shared about his bone cancer diagnosis with her on their first date. Both have expressed that they are looking forward to a long-term, committed relationship.

Gerry Turner came to the public eye with the reality dating TV show, The Golden Bachelor, in 2023. From 22 contestants, Turner chose Theresa Nist, giving her the final rose in the show.
The couple exchanged vows in a televised wedding in January 2024, officiated by franchise favorite Susan Noles at the La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California.
However, just months after the wedding, the couple announced their split. The former couple cited the long distance as the reason for their divorce, as Turner lives in Indiana, while Nist lives in New Jersey.
