The latest Helldivers 2 Major Order presents Super Earth’s finest with an impossible choice between two critical Automaton intelligence targets, but nobody can actually do anything about it yet. Progress toward liberating either Menkent or Aesir Pass remains at zero since no warp links currently connect these planets to liberated territory.
The choice feels impossible. Database One from the “daring” Wasat raid contains encrypted references to something called “Vessel 00” and something else called “Nucleus.” High Command wants the encryption keys to crack these files, but the bots will torch whichever cache we don’t grab first.
MAJOR ORDER: In the early stages of the Second Galactic War, a daring Helldiver raid on Wasat liberated a top-secret Automaton Data Center, codenamed Database One. Ongoing efforts to decrypt this data have so far been of limited success.
However, intel discovered within the… pic.twitter.com/9JZgV0yfhA
That said, most players do seem convinced that Vessel 00 sounds way more dangerous than Nucleus. As of writing, ~32K+ Helldivers are deployed on Lesath trying to punch through to Menkent. That’s 57% of everyone online (via Helldivers Companion), which basically settles the debate before it started.
Lesath’s Mega Cities Hold the Key to Everything
Lesath operates on that mega city system that makes liberation feel like pulling teeth until suddenly everything clicks into place. Four major urban centers dot the planet, each providing massive liberation jumps when captured:
Mega cities work completely differently than regular outposts. You’ll watch that liberation percentage crawl along at snail speed while everyone’s grinding whatever random Operation they can get dive into, then boom: capture Serenity Summit and suddenly we’re up 12.5% instantly.
Crystal Slopes offers the biggest prize at 25% liberation bonus. Smart squads will ignore everything else once that becomes available. There’s no point spreading across multiple objectives when you can coordinate around one fat target that actually moves the needle.
The math is simple, really. Focus fire on mega cities, ignore scattered bases, win planets faster.
What Makes This Helldivers 2 Major Order Feel Personal
This isn’t just any random bot planet. Menkent represents one of Super Earth’s most embarrassing military failures in recent memory. High Command once built the entire “Menkent Line” defensive network around this world, pouring resources into SEAF fortifications and orbital defense grids.
The strategy worked perfectly for exactly seven days. Then the bots hit both Menkent and Lesath simultaneously while bugs attacked elsewhere, splitting Helldiver forces too thin. SEAF ground troops got overwhelmed despite all their fancy defensive upgrades.
The Menkent Line collapsed completely. Both planets fell to bot control on April 23, 2184 (2024) and they’ve mostly stayed that way ever since. High Command quietly abandoned the entire concept rather than admit their defensive strategy was garbage from day one.
Now we’re going back to finish what should have been handled months ago. The Database One intel makes it clear that whatever “Vessel 00” means, it’s important enough for the bots to guard with encryption.
Whether it’s some kind of mobile command ship, manufacturing platform, or something else entirely, Super Earth needs that intelligence.
Which side of this choice do you think makes more sense? Are we right to chase Vessel 00 intel, or should everyone be worried about whatever this Nucleus thing represents on Aesir Pass? Let us know in the comments below!
