5 Bold Predictions For Wrestlepalooza 2025: No Way WWE Will Let John Cena Lose Again

With WWE Wrestlepalooza knocking at the door, thousands of WWE fans are currently speculating about various aspects of the event. Triple H and Co. have lined up five high-octane encounters for the night of September 20, including another touted clash between John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

A large chunk of the fanbase is wondering how the seventh singles clash between Cena and Lesnar will play out, given the enthralling nature of their other showdowns. However, many more are also worried about the results of the four other matches scheduled for the event, including the WWE Championship match between reigning champ Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.

WWE stars might put their bodies on the line while performing, but the fact remains that the matches and shows are scripted. Also, looking at the little time left before Wrestlepalooza, it won’t be wrong to say that Triple H and Co. might have already picked the winners for all the matches backstage, along with planning every other aspect of the event.

With fans speculating thousands of things, here are five bold predictions about WWE Wrestlepalooza, which we think will eventually materialize.

5. La Knight Impedes The Usos’ Victory

The Usos may be scheduled to face Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker at Wrestlepalooza, but LA Knight has been a massive part of the entire feud. Knight has had issues with Reed and Breakker since June 2025. ‘The Megastar’ took out his annoyance by attacking them during their segment with The Usos on the September 8 episode of Raw.

Knight might have tried to maintain his camaraderie with The Usos by helping them tackle Reed and Breakker, but he subjected Jey Uso to a Stinger Splash from Reed unwillingly.

Both Jimmy and Jey came out to help Knight from Reed and Breakker’s assault later that night, but they ended up getting pounded by their Wrestlepalooza adversaries.

Subsequently, Knight drove Reed and Breakker out of the ring using a steel chair and shook hands with Jimmy. Nevertheless, Jey took out his frustration on Knight by spearing him in the end. Knight teamed up with Jimmy to take on Reed and Breakker in a tag team match during the September 15 episode of Raw, but their partnership didn’t click, and they lost the match.

However, ‘The Megastar’s’ finally extracted revenge on Jey with a BFT, after being rewarded with a spear for trying to help them.

But Knight may not be done with Jey. He will probably choose the grand stage of Wrestlepalooza to attack Jey once again. Just like Becky Lynch interrupted CM Punk’s winning momentum with a low blow at Clash In Paris, ‘The Megastar’ might block The Usos’ pathway to victory with a similar attack on Jey during their Wrestlepalooza match with Reed and Breakker.

4. Stephanie Vaquer Doesn’t Show Up

Stephanie Vaquer missed the initial date of signing the contract for her Women’s World Championship match with Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza. However, things finally got done during a backstage segment on the September 15 episode of Raw, under the supervision of the General Manager, Adam Pearce.

Subsequently, Sky’s Japanese compatriots, Asuka and Kairi Sane, intervened in the segment and got into a verbal tussle with Vaquer. ‘La Primera’ defeated Sane in a singles match later that night, which had Asuka walking out to the stage to confront Vaquer. But Sky prevented the confrontation from getting physical by intervening between Asuka and Vaquer.

The overfriendliness between Vaquer and Sky during the September 15 episode of Raw indicates that the former might not appear for her Women’s World Championship match against Sky at Wrestlepalooza. A week ago, Vaquer was reported to have a “minor injury,” but the WWE subsequently cleared her to compete. (via RingsideNews)

But with Asuka and Kairi Sane’s involvement in the scenario, Triple H and Co. might provide fans with a last-minute surprise by putting someone else inside the ring with Sky.

3. The Mixed Tag Team Match Ends With AJ Lee Pinning Becky Lynch

Seth Rollins’s frustration from his previous insults made him say yes to a mixed tag team match against Punk and AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza. Rollins announced his and Lynch’s Wrestlepalooza mixed tag team match with the couple of Punk and Lee during the September 8 episode of Raw.

Rollins and Lynch returned Punk and Lee’s previous insults during the September 15 episode of Raw with deception. Lynch initially left the ring after arguing with Rollins while confronting Punk and Lee. It left Rollins alone inside the ring, who also escaped moments later, with Punk trying to chase him down.

In the meantime, Lynch returned to the ring to hit the unattentive Lee with a Manhandle Slam. She also slapped Punk multiple times after he returned to the ring to check on Lee.

With the couple of Rollins and Lynch playing the heel in this feud, fans would love to watch the conflict end in favor of the babyfaces, Punk and Lee. Also, what would be more fulfilling than watching Lee avenge Lynch’s unfair assault on her by pinning her for a three-count at Wrestlepalooza?

Hence, there’s a high possibility that the Rollins-Lynch vs. Punk-Lee mixed tag team match will end with Lee scoring a pinfall victory over Lynch.

2. John Cena Pulls One Back on Brock Lesnar

The idea of announcing a retirement tour for John Cena was to provide the 17-time world champion with a worthy farewell from the promotion after his decorated career. The WWE brass also made Cena the WWE Champion during his retirement tour. However, Triple H and Co. have portrayed him in a rough phase since SummerSlam.

After a hard-fought match, Cena lost the WWE title to Rhodes at SummerSlam, but things worsened for him as Lesnar appeared out of nowhere to hit him with an F5.

Cena was attacked once more by Lesnar during his match with Sami Zayn during the September 5 episode of SmackDown, after which ‘The Beast Incarnate’ publicized his Wrestlepalooza match with Cena.

After the ‘Cenation’ star’s iconic promo during the September 15 episode of Raw, it can be expected that the WWE brass won’t make him look bad anymore by electing Lesnar as the winner of their Wrestlepalooza match.

With Cena on his retirement tour and lagging 2-4 in his rivalry with Lesnar, Triple H and Co. will probably elect the ‘Doctor Of Thuganomics’ as the winner in what looks like the final singles clash between these two WWE icons.

1. Drew McIntyre Claims the WWE Title

The WWE Championship match between Rhodes and McIntyre was the latest addition to the Wrestlepalooza card. After learning about the inclusion of the match, most fans might predict that ‘The American Nightmare’ would defeat McIntyre to retain his title.

But Triple H and Co. are masters at shocking fans with unexpected results. After Cena’s fierce promo during the September 15 episode of Raw, most fans expect him to win against Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. In this situation, the WWE might take the Rhodes vs. McIntyre WWE Championship match to a completely unexpected avenue and give the W to McIntyre.

McIntyre claimed the WWE Championship twice in 2020 and held it for 202 days the first time and 96 days during his second reign. ‘The Chosen One’s’ experience carrying himself as the WWE champion creates a strong case for him to be crowned the WWE Champion at Wrestlepalooza with a victory over Rhodes. So don’t get startled if you watch McIntyre defeating Rhodes at Wrestlepalooza.
