3 Justice League Heroes Who Can Beat Saitama and 3 Who Wouldn’t Last a Minute

By Andrew Jones 10/08/2025

Yes, you read that right: Justice League vs One Punch Man‘s Saitama, the man who ends fights with one punch. We mean, everybody knows the Caped Baldy ain’t kidding around. His entire gimmick is literally to end battles before they even start.

But what would happen when we get him into a ring with the strongest heroes from the DC universe? Buckle up, folks, ’cause this is gonna be a blast.

Why Saitama Is Basically a Walking Final Boss

So before we jump into the list, let’s look at the strength of One Punch Man‘s Saitama, briefly. Saitama is not just strong, he’s ridiculously strong. He can jump all the way from the Moon back down to Earth, and punches can knock out a whole city.

That being said, Saitama has one major flaw: he’s designed specifically for brute strength and narrative overkill. If you can mess with time, mind, or reality, you can just possibly have a chance. Now, let’s slow down and actually break down the list.

3 Justice League Heroes Who Could Beat Saitama

Some Justice League members actually have the hacks, brains, or god-tier powers to stand toe-to-toe with the One Punch Man. Let’s look at them:

1. The Flash

Wally West isn’t just a fast guy in red tights. We mean, seriously, the man is like a total walking contradiction. He can outrun death, mess with timelines, and pull these wild Speed Force stunts that totally break the laws of reality.

Against Saitama, the speed of The Flash provides him with one thing that no one else has: the capability of moving out of the punch. If he can control time or pull Saitama into a Speed Force trap, that punch never even lands.

2. Superman

Superman is the face of DC’s overpowered hero syndrome. He’s been able to shove planets, withstand supernovas, and battle actual gods. If anybody can truly take the punch from Saitama without exploding, it’s Clark Kent.

This fight would be a full-on shonen slugfest: fists flying, continents shattering with shockwaves. It’s less ‘instant knockout’ and more ‘two demigods punching until the universe files for insurance policy.’

3. Martian Manhunter

J’onn J’onzz is no green version of Superman. He is a complete telepathic terror. He can look into your thoughts, disrupt your thinking, and turn totally intangible so that punches do absolutely nothing.

So while Saitama is gearing up for his Serious Punch, Martian Manhunter could totally turn into mist or like switch off his brain like it’s nothing. That’s not a fair fight, though. That’s like getting your wallet stolen by a psychic!

3 Justice League Heroes Who Probably Wouldn’t Last a Minute Against Saitama

Then there are the brave souls who’d charge in with heart and confidence, only to find out that one punch is all it takes to send them flying into next season. Let’s look at them:

1. Batman

Look, we love Batman. He’s smart, rich, dramatic, but at the end of the day, he’s still a dude in a suit. Saitama could just sneeze and blast him out of the stratosphere!

Frankly, even if he had time to prepare, we don’t think we can visualize Bruce cooking something fast enough to counter a punch that can stop fights before they start. And if we’re on non-prep Batman? He’d be gone from Gotham in five seconds, no question.

2. Green Arrow

Oliver Queen is a legend with a bow. Trick arrows, insane aim, peak human reflexes. But against someone who one-shots kaiju for breakfast? Yeah, that’s not going well.

Saitama would blink, and Oliver would be finished. It’s not that Ollie is uncool or anything; it’s just that arrows versus a bald man who shakes off meteor strikes aren’t exactly on the same level.

3. Nightwing and Other Street-Level Heroes

Nightwing, Question, and Black Canary – these are some pretty cool warriors. They’re really intimidating towards regular villains. But towards Saitama? It’s like trying to punch a hurricane.

Even their best dodges and combos really don’t count when the other man’s move is effectively an ‘instant kill.’ It’s not personal. It’s physics. Or perhaps, anti-physics.

Here’s a quick look at how each Justice League hero stacks up against Saitama from One Punch Man. Spoiler alert: it’s not looking good for most of them. Let’s break it down:
