Netflix is reportedly gearing up for another bold move by adding a Game of Thrones twist. The streamer has confirmed two stars, namely Lena Headey and Paddy Considine (known for House of the Dragon), from the fantasy epic will be joining a new Charlie Brooker project.
This untitled four-part crime thriller is currently filming in Manchester and will feature a dark detective story with Brooker’s signature style.
Joining the faces of Westeros is Georgina Campbell from Barbarian, highlighting a stellar casting choice by Brooker. Behind the camera, Brooker has once again teamed up with Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones, while Al Campbell from Inside No. 9 will take the director’s chair.
Reflecting on the project, Brooker gushed during the announcement, (per Tudum)
I’m beyond thrilled to be saying these words for the press release. I’ve dreamt of providing a quote ever since I was a young foetus, and now here I am doing it. I’d pinch myself, but like all of us, I’m terrified that if I do that, I might wake up and discover 2025 has all been a magical dream. Please watch my show. I am begging you.
Though the title is still under wraps, with the cast confirmed and the filming underway, this project has already piqued the viewers’ interest.
