One Piece‘s Zoro has devoted his whole life to becoming the strongest swordsman in the world, and he is very close to attaining his goal. While he has the guts to face off against almost every enemy in One Piece, Dragon Ball villains are on a different level entirely.
Zoro might be one of the Monster Trio alongside Luffy and Sanji, but he will be completely blindsided by some Dragon Ball villains. No matter his three sword style or Haki expertise, even Zoro’s skills have their limits. He might be able to cut through entire buildings, but what will he do when he is pitted against villains who can destroy entire planets?
So here is a list of Dragon Ball villains who can absolutely annihilate Zoro with their sheer destructive force.
Beerus
When it comes to destructive force, one can’t help but think of Beerus, the God of Destruction himself. He was introduced as a Dragon Ball villain before becoming an ally, and he has been consistently shown as a terrifyingly powerful entity. In fact, he might have never even exerted himself in most battles and held back to give his opponents a fair chance.
Beerus has the power to destroy planets; in fact, he can also destroy an entire universe if provoked. Zoro might have impressive swordsmanship and Haki, but what can he do against a God of Destruction? Absolutely nothing. This Dragon Ball villain won’t even have to break a sweat to flick off Zoro to another planet.
Broly
Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan of Universe 7, a warrior who only appears every 1000 years. While he was the misguided antagonist of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he has become an ally to Goku as well as a rival. Broly has raw power, which, combined with his rage, can make him a walking threat.
He can use energy blasts and brute strength and could even battle Goku and Vegeta at once, even cornering them. His strength that can level entire landscapes can easily defeat Zoro. Zoro’s ability to slash through his opponents simply won’t matter.
Frieza
Frieza is an iconic villain in Dragon Ball. No matter how many times he is defeated, he simply powers up and returns to challenge Goku again. He quickly established himself as a ruthless tyrant in the series, the kind that the Straw Hats would love to fight. Unfortunately, his power level is way beyond any character in One Piece.
Frieza, even at his weakest, can destroy planets. In fact, even without any real training, he is one of the most powerful warriors in the universe. His speed and massive attacks can char Zoro to a crisp.
Moro
Moro is the villain in Dragon Ball Super‘s Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga. He can use his magic to manipulate the elements of a planet’s life energy. He consumes planets to gain energy and become stronger. He can even eat his targets and absorb their powers.
Thus, Moro can not only eat planets, but he can also drain life energy with his powerful magic. He can absorb Zoro or even consume the swordsman and absorb his abilities, leaving Zoro with no option to fight this planetary-scale being.
Majin Buu
Majin Buu comes in many forms, ranging from Kid Buu, Innocent Buu, Super Buu, and Uub. However, the one thing in common is his destructive powers. This malevolent djinn went on a rampage and tore through the Earth’s protectors. His powers are great enough to destroy Earth, forcing Goku to achieve Super Saiyan 3. Each Buu version is more deadly than the last one.
Zoro has no way to handle the planet-destroying attacks of Buu and would be blown away by even small-scale attacks from the villain. No amount of three sword style can save Zoro from Buu.
Cell
Cell is the perfect warrior created by combining favorable genetic traits and special abilities. Perfect Cell is extremely powerful and can regenerate from damage. He is a universe-level threat, and he would have attempted to destroy countless worlds had he not been stopped.
Cell’s regeneration, blitzing speed, and planet-destroying attacks make him a huge threat. He is almost untouchable against an opponent like Zoro. His energy attacks far outclass the Straw Hat, and no matter how much Zoro tries to slash his way through, Cell would simply heal and laugh at his attempts.
Fused Zamasu
Fused Zamasu is a Potara Fusion being born from the union between Goku Black and Future Zamasu. He is also the final antagonist of the Future Trunks Saga. His strength even leaked over to other dimensions and timelines, and he was a big enough threat to wipe them off.
Fused Zamasu handled both Goku and Vegeta and nearly destroyed them with next to no effort. His immortality also makes him an impossible opponent for Zoro. Zoro’s Haki and swordsmanship would not come in handy against this villain.
Majin Vegeta
Majin Vegeta is the form of Vegeta when he became a Babidi follower and received a huge boost in power. In this form, Vegeta’s darkest nature is awakened. Majin Vegeta has a limitless supply of stamina and can even heal from injuries. Even though he eventually saw the error in his ways, he was still a terrifying opponent.
Majin Vegeta’s power level is incredibly high when compared to that of Zoro, and his strength and durability far outclass the Straw Hat. The difference between their powers is simply too great, and Zoro will not be able to defeat this villain.
Goku Black
Goku Black is an alternate incarnation of Zamasu and is one of the antagonists in the Future Trunks Saga. While Zamasu was already a prodigy, once he stole Goku’s body and gained his abilities, his skills and powers increased considerably. Goku Black’s power was a combination of Supreme Kai and Saiyan strength.
This entity has the power to wipe off both Goku and Vegeta, which means Zoro is nothing but a mindless kill for Goku Black.
Janemba
Janemba is the main antagonist in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn and is a powerful demon who wields reality-distorting powers. He is the living definition of evil. His powers allow him to transform the entire universe into his image, including the Other World. He can also manipulate the molecular structure of any object.
Janemba’s reality warping powers, coupled with his massive energy attacks, are huge threats that Zoro cannot afford to ignore. No matter how fast or durable Zoro is, Janemba cannot be matched.
